the boulder carved in the round in the form of two double gourds and an attendant fruit, attached to a gnarled stem issuing palmette leaves and curling tendrils, a small bat fluttering on each side, the smoothly polished stone of attractive celadon-white colour picked out with icy inclusions and faint russet streaks, wood stand
Condition
There are a few typical occasional minor nibbling or minute nicks to the edge of the carving, otherwise the boulder is in very good overall condition. The colour of the stone is slightly warmer, less grey compared to the illustration in the catalogue. The illustration in the printed catalogue actually matches the size of the group carving
