of compressed baluster form raised on a high splayed foot, the waisted neck flanked by two elephant-shaped handles, each side carved with a taotie mask in low relief below archaistic panels at the rim, the cover carved with a dragon finial in openwork and attached to the vase with an integral chain attached to small lugs inside the cover and the rim, the light grey stone finished to a smooth polish
Condition
The vase and the chain in the interior are in overall good condition. There are some minor occasional nibbles along the edge the mouth rim. The actual colour is somewhat less yellow, more celadon compared to the illustration in the catalogue.
