描述

  • jade
carved and reticulated with Shoulao, Han Zongli and Lü Dongbin standing in front of tall jagged  rocks issuing overhanging pines, Shoulao's companion deer reclining on the reverse and a crane flying next to a hovering bat at the top of the cliff, the translucent stone of pale celadon colour mottled with icy inclusions

Condition

The lower right corner of the base is polished diagonally (as visible on the catalogue photo), probably to correct an old chip. Otherwise the group carving is in good condition with light expected nibbling along the edges. The actual colour of the jade is less yellow, more greyish-green compared to the catalogue illustration.
