  • ox bone (bovis)
the longer fragment carved on each side with two taotie masks against a ground of Leiwen, below a band cicada-blades, the shorter fragment similarly carved with taotie extending along the edge and on the underside, the bones of pale buff colour with malachite undertones

Condition

The two bones are in their fragmentary condition as visible on the catalogue illustration. There does not appear to be any recent damages or restoration. The actual colour is close if not a little less red compared to the illustration in the catalogue.
