well proportioned with a rectangular top resting on a recessed waist, all supported on four straight square-sectioned legs terminating in horse-hoof feet, the legs secured by four square-sectioned humpbacked stretchers

One of the legs has been broken transversely and repaired. The repair shows mostly on the interior of the leg. There are a few old chips showing along the edges of the top and apron on the underside, as well as some chips to the hooves of the legs. The joints are somewhat loose with some traces of old restoration showing on the corners. The top is scratched in areas and occasionally stained with ink with even some old writing in one place. The actual colour is consistent with the catalogue illustration.
