- Huali, marble
of barrel shape with lobed sides, raised on four bracket feet joined by a reticulated 'cash' stretcher on the underside, the top inset with a plaque of pink marble, the well-figured wood patinated to a rich golden brown colour

Condition
There are age cracks between the lobes and expected surface scratches. The top is constructed from four carved segment framing a central pink marble plaque. There are some old chips in the wood along the lutting line between the base and the sides. Otherwise the two stools are in overall good condition.
