Condition

The album is made of 9 fragments of painting on silk glued on white paper and put together as an album with a red maroquin cover probably in the early 20th century. The first painting has several worm holes as well as some tears mostly to the lower part of the painting, a 12cm long tear to the left of the boy. Second : worm holes and two tears to the lower left corner, a horizontal tear (11cm) just above the terrace. Third : several worm holes and some tears to the lower left corner and the upper right corner. Fourth : some tears to the pine trees and rocks and small worm holes, an area with humidity stains just below the table of the scholar. Fifth : many worm holes to the upper part of the painting and to the rocks in the lower right corner and above the boy on the left, the textile is very worn to the rocks. Sixth : humidity stains all around as well as some worm holes. Seventh : the textile is worn to the rocks and lower part, there are many worm holes particularly to the upper part. A humidity stain in the centre. Eight : this painting is much more lighter, less red, than the previous ones and doesn't seem to be from the same group, it is in better condition but the colors are faded, there is a tear to the upper part near the roof. Last : this one is in the same style than the previous one, the condition is better with some light tears to the textiles and colors a little bit faded. The cover is in good condition with some tears and scratches to the red maroquin mostly to the edges.
