de forme circulaire, le couvercle plat finement sculpté en haut-relief de petits garçons jouant gaiement dans un jardin planté d'arbres et de rochers, certains jouant des instruments de musique, d'autres allumant des pétards, le pourtour sculpté de deux scènes continues de garçonnets au bord d'une rivière, l'intérieur et la base laqués noir, petits manques (2)

Condition
The box and its cover are in overall very good condition with the exception to a the tip of the overhanging roof that has been chipped, a chip to the head of one of the boys on the side of the cover that is missing and ca. 1cm wide trapezoidal chip to the rim of the cover. There are some chips to the inside rim of the box, the largest ca. 3cm. The carving is deep and detailed, the box and cover very heavy. There is minor wear to the base.
