此台鐘之精雕細鏤與花卉繁飾都是洛可可風格的巔峰表現，應是巴黎十九世紀中期頂尖銅匠之作。其造型流暢，人像、丘比特與飛龍或有攀到台鐘頂端，或有附在兩側或前方，飛龍從鐘殼正面探身出來。
雅克·卡菲力（1678-1755年）是巴黎鑄造師及雕塑家，1715年不久後被獲選鑄造大師頭銜，其最早有記錄之作品為1715年為鑄造師協會設計的紋章。1736年後成為皇家建築鑄造師，為凡爾賽宮﹑楓丹白露宮﹑舒瓦希宮﹑馬爾立宮等皇家宮殿鑄造作品。卡菲力精於洛可可風格，其作品可謂將此表現得淋漓盡致。
