Original canvas. There are a few minor old frame abrasions visible to the extreme edges, with some minor traces of light surface matter in the upper right hand quadrant. There is some very minor surface dirt visible to the thicker globule of impasto to the centre of the composition. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and probable retouchings to the areas surrounding the extreme edge, most probably in line with previous framing abrasions, with a few further spots to the bottom left quadrant and further areas of fluorescence elsewhere which may, in part, be in line with the nature of the Artist's materials.
