伍澤樞早期曾學醫，並於移居紐約後進入學生藝術聯盟（Art Student League）習藝於知名人體結構繪畫藝術家喬治‧伯里曼（George Bridgman），這也是為何對於一般人物或是裸體畫像，畫家皆能精準掌握其肌理結構。《花樣少女》畫中的美麗女孩低頭顧盼，雖是西方臉孔，其臉頰的紅暈和嬌羞的神情卻又流露出一絲東方古典美的氣息。
