The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, and the chiming mechanism is in phase with relation to the hour, however the minutes are not consistently chiming in phase, and it may require service to address this. The dial is in very good condition with no visible imperfections. The cuvette is inscribed 'Bequeathed to W. J. Alford by his friend Joseph Phillips, 1922'. It should be noted that the cuvette is numbered 407736. The case is numbered 407737, which is confirmed by the Extract from the Archives. The case shows surface scuffs throughout
