Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices.
Accompanied by Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie report no. 203220, stating that the ruby shows properties consistent with those of Burmese origin, with no indications of thermal enhancement.
Signed M. Gérard on interior of sizing band, maker's mark. Stamped with French assay mark and 750 for 18 carat gold. According to the SSEF report the ruby, measuring 11.19 x 8.73 x 3.71 mm and weighing 3.767 carat is of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, it is red of medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, minor abrasions on facet edges visible under 10x magnification; for further information please refer to the SSEF and LFdG reports. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use, half of sizing band deficient. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 8 grams.
