Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Each brooch signed G. NARDI. Engraved 750 for 18 carat gold. Rubies well matched in colour, of medium saturation and tone, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, few nicks and abrasions. Synthetic spinel well matched in colour with some minor abrasions. Carved black coral (Gorgonian) in good condition. Gold with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, minor tarnish to reverse of ruby-set brooch. Both in good condition. Total gross weight approximately 54 grams.
