Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices.
Stamped PT950 for platinum. According to the AGL report, the ruby measuring approximately 12.12 x 8.95 x 4.40 mm, weighing 4.85 (weight stated by client), is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heat enhancement. The 7 June 2002 report from Gübelin gives the stated weight of the ruby as 5.02 carats indicating the stone has since been repolished. Ruby of very slightly purplish red hue, medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, minor abrasion. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 carats, on average G-H colour, SI clarity. Little sign of wear to the metal, consistent with light use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 7 grams.
