Colour and Clarity: According to Cartier Certificate of Authenticity and its appendix, this brooch was made in 1969, by Cartier Paris, following the Cartier tradition, using carved gemstones of Indian origin initiated by the famous "Tutti-Frutti" jewels of the 1920's. Please refer to the certificate and appendix for details. In our opinion, the carved emerald is of medium green colour, translucent clarity. Upon 10x loupe, there are many surface-reaching fissures, not seen to naked eyes. Rubies are deep red colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, some rubies may have surface nicks. Diamonds are about G to I colours, VVS to VS clarity. Signed Cartier Paris, with French assay marks. Condition: Karat gold mount, with signs of wear and minor scratches to the metal, overall in good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US.
