Condition
The movement is in working order while cataloguing but it has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. Dial is very clean and intact. Bezel with very faint surface scuffs. Strong hallmarks. Overall in excellent condition. Beautiful enamel work! Museum quality.

此652/268J型號「生命天使」彩繪懷錶上的琺瑯微繪，取自十九世紀義大利畫家Giovanni Segantini的著作，備有G. Menni, 95的落款。G. Menni為聞名遐邇的微繪琺瑯師，在1980至1990年代後期為百達翡麗製作約50幅微繪琺瑯作品，其微繪技藝之精湛與Sussan Rhor齊名，是少數可在百達翡麗琺瑯彩繪作品上簽名的大師。
652型號約於1936生產，至1995年停產，百達翡麗自60年代開始在該錶款上飾以雕刻及琺瑯圖案，令一枚枚懷錶成為舉世無雙的藝術珍品。
微型彩繪取材自Giovanni Segantini (1858年1月15日-1899年9月28日)於1894年的作品「生命天使」。畫作富含救贖及重生的思想，畫中的母親以聖母之態滿懷憐愛的抱著嬰兒，背景中的雪山開始融化，樺樹開始長出嫩綠的新芽。畫作中的樹木於宗教角度而言，可解讀為生命之樹，雖然此刻狀甚枯竭，在春天來臨之時仍會重新綻發生命力，暗示重生。此幅畫作被視為其代表作之一，充分體現十九世紀畫風從自然主義轉變至神秘象徵主義的過程。
「生命天使」曾在多個著名的歐洲藝術博覽會及博物館中展出，如1926年威尼斯國際天主教藝術展、1935年前巴黎當代外國藝術派博物館、1956年聖加倫博物館及1964年摩納哥ARCO藝術博覽會等。
此懷錶為原物主珍藏之物，題材精彩，品相超凡，首次亮相於拍賣市場，必定令藏家趨之若鶩。
