Overall the cosmetic appearance of the clocks are that both are in very good condition. Minor surface hairline scratches to the platinum case but this is minimal. Dials on both clocks are fully intact. Mechanically the blue clock is in full working order, ticking and striking and repeating when activated. The sound is very resonant and achieves great tone. The pink clock is ticking but needs a full overhaul and cleaning. The cost of this extensive overhaul will be a maximum of 12,000 USD. It could be less, Sotheby's has agreed to pay 5,000 USD towards the cost of this overhaul. Once fully serviced, this pair of clocks will be in magnificent order.
