Condition
Movement is in working order while cataloguingbut it has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. Dial is clean and intact. Some signs of wear to the watch with some scuffs to the bezel and small dents. More noticeable dent to the bezel at 5 o'clock. Bracelet with scuffs from wear. Overall in good condition.

Launched in 1993, the Ref.5050 was the first automatic perpetual calendar wristwatch from Patek Philippe to feature center seconds. Available in yellow, pink, white gold or platinum and with either a baton index or considerably rarer Roman dial, the model was discontinued in 2002 when it was replaced with the Ref.5059.
According to research, the white gold version, as was typical of Patek Philippe in the 1990s and early 2000’s was produced in the smallest numbers with only 10 examples appearing at auction.
This model with opaline white dial represents the only known white gold Ref.5050 fitted on a bracelet, as mentioned on the extract from the archives, and was possibly made as a special order.
