The minute repeating complication is one of Patek Philippe's specialities and has long been favoured by collectors and watch enthusiasts for both its ingenuity and refinement. Until 1900, Patek Philippe watches with minute repetition tended to be supplied with hunting cases. At the beginning of the 20th century, the style turned in favour of open-faced watches. The minute repeating complication is still produced by Patek Philippe today and the price of a new minute repeating pocket watch is approximately CHF 100'000.
