此型號3448於1962年面世。當時，它是市場上唯一的自動上弦萬年曆手錶。型號3448經歷了四個主要的演變，每次一個新設計。此品屬於最終版本，分別在藍寶石水晶玻璃和配合它的加高錶框。

此錶款後來由1981年至1985年生產的型號3450除代，備有閏年顯示和一些更細微的差別。

有趣的是，此型號的數量相對較少，二十年間只生產過五百八十六只，即每年大約三十只。正因如此，百達翡麗的技術員能夠密切投入每一只。

型號3448擁有一個藝術特徵，就是月相。純金，手工半透明藍色琺瑯，在高溫下鑲嵌拋光，令每一顆黃金星星和月亮閃閃生輝。因此，每塊面板帶有稍微不同的星圖和藍色色調，這就是此出色罕有錶款最引人注目的細節。
