the shallow vessel thinly worked and naturalistically carved in the form of a mallow bloom, six slightly overlapping lobed petals, delicately incurved, form the well-rounded sides, the interior with gently raised petal edges spiraling towards the center with a further flowerhead in high relief, the exterior set with a pair of similarly floral handles issuing from leafy stems, the base with further curving raised petal edges, all supported on a low calyx-form  foot, the translucent stone of a dark grayish-green with characteristic dark flecking

The bowl is in overall good condition. There is a small nick to the edge on one petal on each of the handles.
