- porcelain with wood and metal frame
of rectangular form, brightly painted with a pair of five-clawed dragons writhing amongst stylised clouds contesting a flaming pearl, framed in wood
Condition
The plaque is inspected within its frame: There are two minor glaze flakes (0.2x0.2cm) towards the bottom of the plaque and a raised bump (0.4x0.4cm) near to one. The central top edge has a 0.2x0.2cm grit. There are minor glaze firing imperfections including iron spots (such as that on the whisker of the left dragon and towards the bottom right corner) and burst glaze bubbles. The frame is in general good order except a 7cm crack to the right edge, a nick to the top edge and minor surface wear.
