of scroll form, the cover inset with a wood slip inscribed Lang Shining Liema Tu shoujuan (Horse arrangement handscroll by Giuseppe Castiglione), all enclosed by a keyfret border, inlaid with a wood fastening in imitation of a scroll
Condition
The top and bottom piece, and the scroll contained within are lost, with traces of fabric and paper lining to the interior. There are minor nicks to the top edge (one 0.6cm and the other 0.2x0.2cm) and minor age splits. The fastening is probably later added.
