- zitan wood
of rectangular form with scrolled sides, the flat top carved in low relief with an oval medallion enclosing two dragons contesting a flaming pearl amongst clouds, framed by four sinuous chilong grasping a lingzhi sprig at the corners, the short sides decorated with confronted kui dragon scrolls
Condition
The scrolled sides composed of different sections of wood, with some age cracks and separation between the sections. One 125mm age crack to the right side of upper surface, and another 130mm to the left side. Black staining visible to parts of the upper surface. Otherwise in good general condition, with only minor surface wear.
