- corallium elatius, wood
carved with four ladies variously depicted holding the sheng, a fan and a flywhisk with birds perched on trees behind, to the right a group of two boys preying on a flying phoenix, wood stand
Condition
There is a repair to the tallest central branch around 9.5cm from the end are five minor breaks to the extremeties, ont to the wing of the bird above the figure to the right of centre; another small break to the branch to the left of this; one to the lower left branch below the bird; one to the lower right branch below the bird and one to the top of the tallest branch (one of the breaks is in a bag). There is also some flaws running through the piece in various places.
