This casket is in good condition, with all the seed pearls and garnets intact. There is some light scratcing to the silver gilt base and a deeper z-form scratch to one side (7mm by 4mm). There is also some light scratches to the gilding to the interior of the cover. There is some wear to the base of the leather box and to the velvet lining.

本品翡翠色潤俏麗，表面留光素且拋光得宜，為藝匠對絕色美玉一貫之處埋手法。翠玉色鮮，間以道道白紋，彷如縷縷輕煙，惹人無限聯想。沿邊綴以紅白料石，特顯蓋盒之華麗感。類同翡翠製器甚為少見，有一作例，曾售於香港蘇富比2010年4月8日，編號1807。Brooke Astor 故藏另見一例，鑲珍珠及紅料石，曾售於紐約蘇富比2012年9月24日，編號150。有一煙盒作例，色澤翠綠均勻，盒身近頂處環飾紅寶石，曾售於紐約蘇富比1989年4月18日，編號242。
