the monkey carved seated with its long arms extended to hold a large peach between its legs, detailed with large round eyes and a flat nose, the peach borne on a gnarled stem issuing curled leaves up the sides of the fruit, the stone of an even celadon tone with traces of attractive russet-brown skin
Condition
Of a slightly more greenish tone than in the catalogue image. In very good condition, with extensive russet staining. Some pitting and wear to the stone, and some faint natural stone flaws. A small semi-circular indentation to the monkey's left cheek.
