the tapering body rising to curved shoulders and surmounted by a waisted neck, painted to the exterior in underglaze-blue and copper-red with nine peaches borne on a gnarled flowering tree growing between jagged rocks with young shrubs, all between stylised floral scroll bands, the neck with stylised ruyi clouds, the base with an apocryphal Kangxi mark within a double-circle
Condition
The painted decoration on the vase is fuzzy. The vase has minor glaze firing imperfections including iron spots (one on the side behind the painted decoration measuring 0.1x0.1cm, and some on the rim). There is a ridge around the base of the neck to the interior, but with no detectable restoration under UV light, the glaze is bubbly around that area. The foot has a 2cm L-shaped firing crack. The shoulder has a circular label reading 160/ 17-12-73.
