the compressed ovoid body rising to a short waisted neck with gilt lipped rim, brightly decorated to the exterior with five bats amongst meandering floral scrolls above interlocked ruyi strapwork, all below pendent ruyi heads and archaistic kui dragon scrolls, the interior similarly decorated simulating puddingstone, the base with florets in a honeycomb diaper ground

In excellent general condition, with only typical pitting and minor flaking to the enamels. Wear to the gilt-bronze lipped rim and foot. The 'puddingstone' interior with some discolouration and wear and some larger chips and losses to the enamels to the centre.
