the compressed globular body rising from three gilt-bronze makara feet to a short neck with everted rim, flanked by a pair of upright loop handles, the exterior brightly decorated with large lotus blooms borne on undulating leafy stems, all below a stylised floral scroll, the wood cover surmounted by a circular cloisonné enamel knop with matching decoration

Condition
In good general condition. Some wax infill to enamels and pitting to the enamels elsewhere. The feet and handles possible re-attached. The wood cover added later with associated cloisonne finial.
