- Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper
each with an ovoid body brightly decorated to the exterior against a turquoise ground with large lotus blooms borne on undulating leafy stems between ruyi and lappet bands, the domed cover with a beribboned floral medallion composed of radiating beaded tassels, demi florets, C-scrolls and ruyi heads
Condition
Both in good general condition. Both with some wax infill, flaking and pitting to enamels. One with a possible area of impact (to white lotus flower head) with some associated loss of enamels. The gilding extensively worn.
