carved recumbent with its right foreleg raised, the head turned sharply towards its back, detailed with a pair of striated horns and a beard, the stone in a pale celadon tone mottled with milky-white and russet inclusions, wood stand

Condition

The ram is in very good condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the extremities, such as the edges of the hooves and the tip of the ears. There is a circa 4cm natural vein with associated flakes to the reverse of the animal at the bottom of its neck. The stone is of a more greyish tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
