The charger is in good condition with the exception of general firing imperfections such as two firing cracks (1.5 and 2.2cm) below the rim. There is another 2cm firing crack running across one side of the foot. Other imperfections include general firing blemishes to the body such as burst glaze bubbles, iron spots, tiny kiln grits and other minor firing cracks. The interior has a 0.2 x 0.2cm raised bump next to the incised peony decoration.
The censer is slightly warped with a distorted rim. There is a firing crack running along one-third of the base, visible both to the interior and exterior. There are small rim chips (largest 0.5 x 0.2cm) and a discoloured brown iron patch just below the rim (1.5 x 0.5cm). Other minor firing imperfections include iron spots, burst glaze bubbles and small firing cracks.
