Condition
The waterpot is in excellent condition with the exception of a very minute nick to the edge of the opening.

本品別具匠心，運用瑪瑙原石之各層色澤，營造一番奇妙景觀，亦反映乾隆年間清宮中收藏袖珍玩物之風尚。乾隆當朝，宮廷工匠喜以不同材質製作袖珍器物、文案清玩、雕塑、書本等，於極微小之空間施展鬼斧神工，與大型器物意趣大相徑庭，卻毫不遜色。
清宮御藏袖珍器物及擺件種類繁多，五花八門,包括古代玉器、銅器、裝飾物、各種異國新奇器物等，均藏於多寶格，故多寶格堪稱皇帝收藏之縮影，參見《中華瑰寶》展，台北國立故宮博物院，台北，1996年，編號352、353。
