modelled in the form of a mountain with five peaks, the bamboo patinated to a golden brown tone, one side naturalistically decorated with concentric rows of uneven knots
Condition
The brushrest is in good condition with the exception of natural nicks and minor nibbling along the extremities. There are short chisel marks to the concave side of the brushrest and minor drying age cracks. The bamboo is slightly darker in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
