清乾隆 白玉「萬年有餘」圖雙耳活環洗

the deep rounded sides supported on a shallow foot carved as a large floral medallion with furled petals, the ringed handles formed from two bats with wings outstretched above lingzhi sprigs decorated with shou medallions at the heads, carved in low relief to the interior with two catfish encircling a wan symbol, the exterior with stylised taotie masks below a foliate band at the rim, the stone of an even white tone with a pale celadon inclusion near the base

The marriage bowl is in very good condition except minor nibbling along the extremities. There is a large patch of pale celadon inclusion near the base of the bowl. The stone is of a more celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.

此類洗雕飾各種吉祥圖案，寓意婚姻和睦、福祿鴛鴦。本品上鯰魚紋飾諧音「年年有餘」，雙耳合祝「福壽如意」。雙鯰魚為清代盛行之主題，常與各種吉祥圖案加以結合。參見一作例，上刻一對魚遊於壽桃枝葉間，雙耳刻「喜」字，售於香港蘇富比1991年10月30日，編號423及紐約蘇富比2002年3月20日，編號142。另一雙魚靈芝紋作例曾售於倫敦蘇富比1954年5月11日，編號148。再有一例刻雙鯰魚、菊花及靈芝紋，2009年5月27日售於香港佳士得，編號1839。
