the figure cast seated side saddle on a recumbent elephant, wearing a robe engraved with scrolling borders, open at the chest to reveal an elaborate beaded necklace

Condition
The figure is in good condition with the exception of light rubbing and loss to the gilded lacquer decoration and to some of the polychrome decoration around the elephants eyes and mouth.
