清康熙 五彩花鳥紋蓋罐

the baluster body rising to a short waisted neck, painted around the exterior with three rows of petal-shaped panels variously enclosing flowers, birds and insects, all below a composite floral scroll, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a lotus bud finial, later gilt-bronze stand

There is a restored horizontal crack running over half the area of the vase at the base of the neck, with associated over painting. There is also fritting at the rim and a lot of wear and losses to the blue enamel in various places to the exterior. The cover has a semi circular restoration to the rim 15cm by 4cm.
