the baluster body rising to a waisted neck, painted to the exterior with chilong clambering amidst undulating lotus scrolls above a band of flames, the shoulder surrounded by pendent ruyi lappets against a diaper ground beneath a keyfret band, encircled by composite floral scrolls at the neck, the domed cover similarly decorated
Condition
The jar and cover are in good condition with the exception of three areas of restoration to rim frits on the rim of the cover (approximately 1, 7 and 10cm., wide), an almost circular firing hairline to the interior of the cover, a 6cm., long three-pointed star glaze line to the interior of the jar, minor nibbles to the rim of the jar and light glaze scratches.
