明嘉靖 黄釉盃 《大明嘉靖年製》款

of bell shape, well potted with deep curved sides elegantly rising from a short foot to a flared rim, covered overall in a rich egg-yolk yellow glaze leaving the footring unglazed, the base inscribed in underglaze-blue with a six-character mark within a double-circle, Japanese wood box

This finely potted cup is in good condition with the exception of three small areas of overpainting to the rim ( 2.5, 2.5 and 1cm., wide) covering smaller areas of enamel flaking to the exterior, and minor and light glaze scratches.

本品造形獨特精美，屬明嘉靖時期的創新之作，多施黃釉或深藍釉。玫茵堂收藏一對相類作例，載於康蕊君，《玫茵堂藏中國陶瓷》，冊2，倫敦，1994年，圖版698，並售於香港蘇富比2011年4月7日，編號62。另 一件作例分別出自BZ Seligman 和Alfred Ackroyd 爵士收藏，曾展於東方陶瓷學會，《Monochrome Porcelain of the Ming and Manchu Dynasties》，倫敦，1948年，編號60，先後三次現身拍賣場，前兩次為倫敦蘇富比1954年5月11日，編號64及1966年5月17日，編號36；後售於倫敦佳士得2004年6月7日，編號281。仇炎之收藏另一對作例，曾售於香港蘇富比1981年5月19日，編號452。 Hall 家族收藏一相類盃例，曾展於東方陶瓷學會，《Iron in the Fire》，艾許莫林博物館，牛津，1988年，編號60及彩色圖版，頁23，分售於倫敦蘇富比1966年7月26日，編號68及香港蘇富比2000年5月2日，編號506，並錄於《香港蘇富比三十週年》，香港，2003年，圖版124。
