consisting of 108 wooden pearls arranged in four double strands, divided by four turquoise fotou (Buddha heads) carved with a shou character, the lower turquoise roundel suspending a tassel formed of nine eggplant-shaped malachite droplets, each with a gold filigree calyx attached to a string of coral and mother-of-pearl seeds issuing from a jadeite bead, the fragrant wood patinated to a dark brown colour

The rosary is in overall good condition. There is some discolouration to one of the turquoise bead. There is still a very faint scent to the beads.
