finely carved as a mountainous retreat arbored with verdant trees, one side with an angler leaning on a ledge holding his rod and line above a small fish basket, wearing a loose garment fastened at the waist and sporting a soft hat, the reverse with another wanderer soothing his feet in a torrent pooling in a crag, all below gnarled trees growing on the cliff face issuing intricately entwined tendrils, the smoothly polished stone of pale buff colour with amber and golden shades skillfully incorporated in the design, wood stand

The mountain carving is in overall good condition. There is some surface wear commensurated with age but no visible chip or damage.
