描述
- 《大清康熙年製》款
finely potted with shallow rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to an everted rim, deftly incised on the interior with a five-clawed dragon writhing among clouds, encircled by two further dragons around the cavetto striding in pursuit of a 'flaming' pearl, the reverse similarly incised with two dragons chasing a pearl above a band of petal lappets encircling the foot, applied overall with a brilliant aubergine glaze partly running over the footring, save for the base applied with a transparent glaze covering a black six-character reign mark within double circles
Condition
There are two hairline cracks to the rim (2.5 and 1 cm). The glazed footring has five evenly spaced unglazed patches, each of 2 to 3 cm, probably corresponding to the original spur marks, which have been further polished to remove the excesses of glaze.
