delicately potted with deep rounded sides rising from a narrow tapered footring to a flared rim, freely painted in washes of blue within pencilled outlines with a songbird perched on a fruiting sprig of peach and another chirping on a branch of flowering pomegranate, both growing on grassy patches between double-line borders encircling the foot and rim, the base inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark within double squares
Condition
There are three tiny chips at the rim with some light touch up. There is a minute gap in the glaze and traces of an old adhesive on the interior.
