carved and hollowed in the form of a domed basket finely incised to simulate wickerwork, the small cover detailed with a spray of seaweeds and a leaping carp, the greenish-white translucent stone with a few icy inclusions and finished with a smooth polish, wood stand
Condition
There is a minute chip to the front tip of the fish's serrated dorsal fin carved on the cover. There are a few natural ribbons of inclusions in the stone on the body, but apart from this, the ink washer is in very good overall condition.
