the recumbent beast with its legs tucked beneath, its head turned to the right resting on its right foreleg, detailed with gentle eyes framed by flattened ears surrounded by a finely incised mane, its bushy tail swished over the right haunch, the dark brown and cream-white stone with a lustrous polish, carved wood stand
Condition
The carving has been pierced for suspension under the horse's left foreleg. There is some pitting in the stone to the rear of the animal, but overall it is in very good condition.
