清光緒 青花「趕珠雲龍」圖茶壺 《大清光緒年製》款

of compressed globular form, set with a slender 'S' spout and two pierced ruyi-head tabs on each side of the neck for a swing handle, vividly painted in cobalt blue around the exterior with two five-clawed dragons striding among flames and clouds in pursuit of 'flaming pearls', their scaly bodies detailed in varied tones of blue, all between tumultuous waves around the foot and pendent ruyi draping the shoulder, the neck collared with scrolling foliage centred with a lozenge motif, the spout set with a shou character, the dished cover centred with a flame encircled by clouds and blue diapers on the broad rim, the recessed base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark

There is a 6 cm. C-shape restored rim chip with an associated flake that has been touched up, but apart from this, the kettle and the cover are in good overall condition.
