the round baluster body surmounted by a tall cylindrical ribbed neck and a flared rim, applied around the central register with a large-scale 'Indian' lotus scroll issuing four blossoms wreathed by a continuous leafy stem, above fluted panels skirting the base and a raised ring collaring the shoulder, applied overall with a pale celadon glaze thinning to white on the carved design, the deeply recessed base similarly glazed, the beveled footring neatly cut and left unglazed revealing a greyish-brown body fired orange along the glaze edge

The rim has been restored in three sections, the largest being approximately 4 cm., but is covered with paint and is probably actually smaller.
