The panel is somewhat bowed convex along the left half of the upper and lower edges (approximately 1 centimetre away at the extreme left edge), but otherwise appears to be in stable condition. There are some light signs of frame rubbing along the extreme left edge. Ultraviolet light reveals minimal signs of retouching, notably some scattered spots addressing frame rubbing along the left and right edges and a few tiny spots in the sky near the upper edge. This painting is overall in good condition, and is ready to hang. Held in a rococo-style gilt frame. The catalogue illustration is overall accurate, although the colour contrast is slightly subtler in reality, and the colours slightly less red.
